how on earth did this get nominated for best writing by the writing guild?

Writing guild of america nominated this for best wrting catagory. How? Bribes? Maybe the guild is comprised of 13 year old? I don't know anymore.

They are judging halo purely on Halo 4. Nothing else. The fact that Halo 4 is there(or any of the other games) and not The Walking Dead is ridiculous.

I liked the campange mode a lot. The story was fine; but I can't see how the writing stood out that much. All the characters were way too one-dimentional; the story was set in motion and never strayed course..

Like for example

SPOILERS

Captain Del Rio; was just a jerk for the sake of being a jerk - no other reason to it. Never explained and was just put in there so lasky and the master chief could look good.

How is this good writing? The very nature of halo being an fps also really kinda restricts the kind of writing that could make it great; and don't even get me started about the writing in Spartan Ops.

I am guessing they are including the books when they talk about writing. The games are nice and I love the story, but I dont really think any of the halo's had such a great ingame campaign story.
