I was always curious to see how it would have been if it was the grenade-style device shown in the "Starry Night" trailer. Could result in interesting strategies being able to throw it further like a grenade, or it could break things completely. Hard to say without seeing it in action.
For those who don't remember or haven't seen it, what I was referring to:
Halo 3 "Starry Night" (audio's a bit quiet) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MapTlW80f6Y
So much potential for such a crap campaign. I was waiting for giant, legendary battles on Earth and instead I got... Well, Halo 3.
My memory of the details of the campaigns are a little fuzzy right now, but iirc there weren't many epic battles on Earth in Halo 2 & 3 because: - Initially the Covenant didn't come to Earth prepared for large scale battle - MC's "quest" took him away from Earth shortly after **** hit the fan - We end up finding peace
I think there were more large scale battles in Reach because even though they initially came somewhat unprepared as well, more time elapses to allow for more Covie reinforcements.
