Connecting to xbl on college campus

I am trying to connect to xbl on the college network. I am using my laptop(wireless connection) and an ethernet cord (LAN) currently and first tried sharing the connection. It works but randomly disconnects and says there is a NAT error and that it is moderate. I then tried bridging the connections with the same result. I spoke to the tech center they didn't know anything. any suggestions?

for starters, you're on the wrong board.

Secondly, you probably have to register your console with your college's ISP. I did so by giving them my MAC Address, thus they input that and allow it to connect t their internet.
