Anybody ever used these? If so, to any avail? I'm curious if they actually improved your playing.

Meh, they look ridiculous and if anything just move your thumb further from the face buttons.

The 360 pad is excellent, I've never understood any desire to augment it - especially with over priced tat like that :/

Is that fear in your voice, Barbara?

Word. They look pretty lame to me, I just saw an ad up above in the banner and it piqued my interest for about 42 seconds.

people need to use basic geometry, extending the radius further from the center actually make it take a longer period of time to move the thumbstick not faster.

TBH they are pretty comfy.. wider range of motion as well due to the sticks being higher

I don't think its so much about being faster, the distance added is not a big enough of a difference to really affect things there.

Ultimately, it may allow you to be more accurate and precise. It might make it a bit easier to track targets as well.

I use them, got them for free using some GameStop Power Up Rewards points a few months back.

They feel way more comfortable than normal control sticks. They really do have a much wider range of movement.

WIll they make a player better? Most likely not, but they sure are comfy.

the distance traveled when using the thumbstick extender is further therfore you actually have a wider radius. in other words using the thumb extender means you have to travel a further distance than you do when not using it. just like buying new shoes and thinking it makes you run faster, it doesnt.
