Headshots and hide when your shields get low. Once you get used to both of those skills it gets a lot easier. You should always carry around at least one weapon which is capable of headshotting. The secondary weapon can be a power weapon (save this until you REALLY need it) or something that takes down shields quickly.

I thought it was a blast.

Played through twice with a buddy within the first couple of weeks it was out... We're also enjoying Spec-Ops, and a crapload of Big Team Infinity Slayer....

Plasma pistol and precision weapon combo. Preferably carbine cause of it's ammo. Should help a lot.

I just beat solo legendary today, it was amazing. First time through i did it on heroic, so legendary wasn't too bad. Like the others say, always carry a precision weapon. You will learn to hate knights and watchers.
