Out of the 'newer' FPS genre Halo 4 has the worst...

it wouldnt be bad if this game used a MM system that actually matched you with equal players. i know it tries to but more times than not im put in a game that is always one sided. i remember 2,3, and even reach to an extent the games were closer.

JIP is the stupidest idea ever. join a random dlc game to have it be ctf and down 4-0 and the other team is just slaying for 9 minutes...no thanks. have a TEAM OF 5 JIP and be SPLIT UP? how can you split a party up and think its a good idea.

havent played many other shoters online other than cod and theres is worse. match new players with players who have over a weeks playtime and all guns unocked....that seems fair right.

Instead of having to pretty much exploit the system to get out of a JIP they should just give you a button command (like 'B') that you can press that will get you back to the main MM menu with your party included.

Or take JIP out altogether, but who am I kidding, right?

Honestly? I think Halo 4 does a much better job with it that people give it credit for. Most of the time when I end up joining a game in progress it does a hell of a job putting me in a game that just started. Now granted I'm not about to let it drop me into a game of Regicide mid-game, but that's a free-for-all gametype. You join in the middle of that and you're going to start in dead last no matter what you do.

Couldn't care less about dedicated servers. Would be nice to have a better weighting to people that are geographically loser to you but oh well, guess I'll just have to keep matching against the GFAQs baddies and getting easy wins in mm.

GOW3 had dedicated servers but it was still tremendously laggy, especially in Horde.

Halo has had those black screens nearly every game since Reach. Pretty damn terrible. Maybe the game should pick better hosts that dont quit. I remember when I played Reach it gave me host for a month straight and it never black screened and switched host. As soon as I lost Host ability it would black screen every game for me and my friends. Horrible.

Gears 3 only had dedicated servers for ranked matchmaking, and even then, there weren't enough servers for the entire population. Horde did not have dedicated servers.
