it depends on how you like to play, for me my favorite is engineer cause i get to see the weapon drops before anyone else so i can either use them as points of reference to kill people trying to grab them or i can get them myself.

depends on your play style, although I found stealth to be useless. operator is good for vehicle lovers like myself.

That sounds pretty close to my play style and one more question, do I have to spend points for any of the things I gain through the specializations?

No, everything that a specialisation unlocks you get for free once you get to the level requirement.

but once you choose a specialisation you have to stick with it for 10levels before you can switch to something else. i have no idea if this remains true after you've unlocked all the specializations ive never bothered to ask.

lol i just recently unlocked specializations myself, i hated the fact that i had to grind to lvl50 before i could use them. didnt even feel like i was on the same level as everyone else until i finally got this unlocked. now i finally feel like i can play the actual game.
