Brink was good, but poorly executed. Had the game started off well with stable servers and working online play, then it may have been successful.
Lost Planet 2 had a good base, but its an example of a game that had too much variety. There were too many VSes (many of which did only slightly different things) so you couldn't quickly identify each one on sight and act accordingly. And then the preposterous amount of weapons (many of which were just straight upgrades) threw any idea of balance out the window. And then the maps were ****, and basing the entire multiplayer on grinding and random unlocks was the worst idea anybody has ever come up with.
