So mic is kinda knackered atm. I will be able to get a new cable that will fix it for now but can honestly see it going in the next month or so. Anyway thinking of getting a new mic. So far I have been looking at the following.
TB X12 - Wired. Basically the same as what I have now.
TB PX5 - Wireless. Seen these half price. Surround sound, bluetooth, etc. Apparently there can be issues with them interfering with WiFi, but I don't use that for my Xbox anyway. Is there that much of a difference in clarity between wireless and wired headsets? Wouldn't there also be slightly more delay compared to a wired headset?
Astro A40s - Wired. Heard decent things about them. Would be buying it without the mix amp. is there much of a difference without it? Sound quality, build quality and comfort and good?
Just looking for some suggestions for a new headset for Halo 4 and other games. Choices above are listed in order of price. Any other suggestions are welcome.
My pair of tritons had a terrible mic, but they were comfy and the sound quality was great.
If you don't want the x12, then astros. I don't like wireless headsets. --- technically [bloom] adds to the game. but only in the same way cabbage adds to a bowl of froot loops. - ILikeJumpin GT: i derive dx
get these. its a no brainer. astro quality for 1/4th the price. --- wow strafing tryhards, i always stand still so the bullets can hit me. Whenever someone trys to dodge my shots i know they're a virgin LMAO
Got a pair of X11 just now and tbh they have been ok. Even though there is a crack starting to appear just above one of the speakers I have easily got my moneys worth out of them. One thing I have noticed with them though is that although you can work out where noise is coming from along a horizontal axis, it doesn't work so well along the vertical axis. I presume proper surround sound headsets are better at this? --- vBlite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw5x_bc9Lvo&feature=plcp
