Am I the only person who sends congratulatory messages if I lose badly?
Halo tracker has me in top 10%, so when I come up against a team that absolutely trashes me I send them props.
In Reach I was unfortunate enough to go against a team of top 1% Onyx twice in a row. Boy did they absolutely stomp me. The thing was I wasn't angry, not by a long shot. I was excited because I was able to go into Theater mode and see the tactics they were using and see what they did differently.
Sometimes I go into BTB solo and I'll lose against a team full of average players, but who actually work really well together. In H4 I've honestly only seen 4 different teams work well together, when I see a bunch of average players with 6 shot BRs using team work, communication, positioning, etc I'm genuinely impressed because that isn't something you often see.
Other times your team is clearly better, where everybody goes positive KD except for that one utterly terrible person who goes negative and drags the entire team down.
Ran into this poor kid yesterday with a 0.12 KD. He had zero kills, and his deaths were in the high 20s. I offered to help him learn the game and show him some things to help with the learning curve.
People really get too upset over this game. You win some, you lose some. If you beat somebody be a good sport, if you lose be gracious in defeat.
+1 to MS for taking 2 huge steps in the right direction. Now if only they fixed the rest of the problems :-(
