Who would want to skip ANY of the Chronological Halo games? It makes NO sense.

It's good because it is part of a larger work.

Which hasn't happened yet. The paragraph this is from is literally all about what's going to happen and how somehow H4 has a good story because of what hasn't happened yet.

This includes everything from backstory to physical and mental states, personal epiphanies, emotional and or physical developments during the main story ar

Literally all of that is part of how a character interacts with the world.

Perhaps you're afraid that I'll take something you enjoy and rip it apart like a bag of chips.

Nah, I just don't have the angst or reading list of a 16 year old.

If Ayn Rand is enough to make you throw in the towel though, I doubt you have the mental horsepower to back up your stellar "nuh uh, yer stoopid" argument. You seem a bit ill equipped to be judging anyone else's writing, how's your's coming along?

Did I make fun of your favorite author or something?

Be honest: how upset are you?

on a scale of 1 to 10? I'm a 3.

I give up though. I'm using literary devices and ideas to prove a point. You're using your opinion. It's apples to oranges. I hope that when 5 comes out it somehow satisfies you and changes your mind. If not, oh well.

Ahh yes the "Master Chief developed by being the same" was a good use of a literary concept. You have proven a point, but I'm not sure it's the one you desire.

Plus, Ayn Rand? Really?

Oh and Ayn Rand isn't my favourite author. Knowing so much about literature I just thought you might have known who she was. I aimed my comparison a bit high I suppose. I was making a contrasting statement about how even though Halo didn't approach the quality of her work, it does not necessarily mean it's garbage.

sigh...he wasn't the same. The whole goodbye scene where he is hopelessly (and half wordlessly) begging Cortana to stay even though he knows it isn't possible shows real vulnerability. He has managed to slay every single enemy in every mission he's ever been on and now, at literally the doorstep of Earth, he is just too late to save the one person he really cares about. They NEVER did anything like that in any of the previous games.

Okay, which is it. Am I too well read, or not well read enough?

I previously suggested visiting a library. I stand by that suggestion.

For some reason, I read this in H. John Bejamin's voice, and now I can't even take it seriously.
