Anyone can summarise the story for the first game ? i've played it around the time of its original release ( great game BTW ) and how does this one compare to the originals . Edit: Also does the PSP games add anything to the story ? i remember i didn't like the controls . Spoil everything
It's been a long time since I played without skipping cutscenes but I'll try to remember. Gamuran was imprisoned in a shrine in the Asuka village. In a bout of mischief Goh decided to open the shrine to see what was inside. Disappointed that there was nothing but a sword he decides to remove it which costs Kinu her arm and the rest of the Asuka their lives. Turns out Goh is actually Gamuran's apprentice, though Goh doesn't seem to remember. During Gamuran's attack, Goh finds his master fatally wounded. He then proceeds to tell Goh to burn the scroll that Gamuran is looking for. Goh finds the scroll and reads it seconds before Gamuran shows up. As Gamuran approaches, he tosses it into the fire. This does little good as Gamuran does some sorcery mumbo jumbo and scatters Goh's memories into several glowing stones. If he can get them all he will be able to see what Goh read. The strain was too much for Goh or something and he passes out. He wakes up and follows a cat to some rundown shack where he decides to live. A letter from Onji tells him to find his father in Ichijo's castle. So Goh, who now has no memories, save for his ninja skills (conveniently) makes a raid on the castle. He takes a guard hostage and bursts into a room where Ichijo is conversing with Sadame. Here he learns Ichijo is an ally. Sadame however, sees an opportunity to take control of Utakata using this ninja. Akame somehow learns of this as well. From there the lords try to get Goh to do things for them. Taking the true ending route, Goh carefully manipulates things to keep the 3 way war at a constant stalemate. When Gamuran reappears they decide it would be best to ework together to stop him. And Goh defeats Gamuran. Kinu and Zaji do little to help. From there the 3 Asuka decide to rebuild their home, with Zaji as the leader. There are some things I didn't put in their like Ageha and Hebitono getting killed, but yeah. Someone else can hopefully correct any flaws I made. As for the PSP version the only thing I remember is Goh disappearing at the end. Seems it was canon, as we have yet to see anything of Goh. --- Virtua Fighter 5 FS coming to PSN/XBL!!
Thabjs a lot , so the PSP game is like a 1.5 kinda of game ? also i remember Zaji having a role in the story , am i right ?
Zaji spent most of the game trying to kill Goh and did little else. And when Kinu convinces him to work with Goh he gets OHKO'd almost instantly. --- Virtua Fighter 5 FS coming to PSN/XBL!!
The only things worth noting in the PSP game were: - Sadame was crazy enough to brag in her diary that she COMPLETELY FABRICATED THE AMURITA FAITH - Ichijo got married to the daughter of a neighboring province. - Akame has a son who is a huge idiot and wuss. - Hebitonbo had an equally stupid twin brother who promptly dies. - The Amurita sect attempted to disrupt Ichijo's marriage via assassination - Goh ended up taking out Sadame's nutty priestess, a psychotic gal named Miroku. - Sadame's diaries were destroyed. - Goh, having totally wrecked Miroku and her followers, vanishes for apparently no reason. Hopefully we find out in Shinobido 2. - Zaji is still a loser.
Usuba also seems to have given up on avenging her sisters. So I'm really curious about her roll in Shinobido 2. --- Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
In Homura, you assassinate Uzumushi & Usuba, which makes the game non-canonical as both characters appear in the new game.

"In Homura, you assassinate Uzumushi & Usuba, which makes the game non-canonical as both characters appear in the new game." You can kill them but the post-mission dialogue scene never acknowledges it. You can also kill Sadame...twice. And Kabuto...again. I wouldn't be surprised if Homura isn't canon though, it had a seriously halfassed storyline. |
