Zelda shoudl change? Isn't that why Skyward Sword was less popular?

As far as I could tell, they're changing it back to the 'basics'. Meaning the new Zelda is going to play more like OoT.

Currently playing - Xillia 2, KH 3D, Persona 3

Something tells me they're going back even further. Remember Dark Souls? More than anything, it was like the original Zelda. You were thrown into a vast, open world, and the progression was not at all linear.

I was thinking Zelda 1, what with playing dungeons in any order and what not.

Switch JRPGs with Shooters, and I'm sure that's what they're saying about us.

Skyward sword was just a mediocre game. it wasn't highly praised because it underwhelming. in the end the design choices did nothing to stand out or revolutionize the series.

By 'back to basics", I took that as meaning LOZ and ALTTP.

I don't think thats what they meant.

I think that means they are trying to rebuild a 3D experience from the ground up again (as in from the 2D Zelda's up), which I think is a wonderful idea. Rather than modifying OoT to make an "Ocarina-killer" game, why not try rebuilding the 3D experience entirely.

Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US

SS made changes, the problem is none of them were good changes.
