- Says game should have less story
- Says game must be set in a very specific point in the timeline

Please show me where that was said.

Anyway, I don't want it to take place after Zelda II, just because I like it being the end.

But on the other hand, I'd like to see a continuation 200 years in the future... gameplay the same, the history is in there for the story, and a new type of Hero that doesn't resemble Link.

Oracle of Ages was puzzle-hell
Also Spirit Tracks in the tower

I don't like puzzles, I like combat and exploration

Too bad, Zelda is now without exploration and combat is like a bonus we sometimes get

"and combat is like a bonus we sometimes get"

So true man, you made me literally laugh out loud!

I still to this day love the combat in Zelda II. Even Link to the past wasn't that bad.

But ya, as others have said, OoT is where Link all of a sudden became a puzzle heavy game. I think it should move away from that personally.

dude, not take place after Zelda

I said, TAKE AFTER, as in, to emulate the qualities of -- to take after something.

What I said has nothing to do with setting or story.

Just to be clear:

Take after zelda, NOT take --place-- after zelda.

Gotta second this. However, I do like puzzles, but I want puzzles to be the bonus, not the theme.

Sorry, I'm seeing words that don't exist.

I somehow read "I think the new Zelda should take place after Zelda II."

Haha, I can't believe anyone actually read the TC's post as "take place after Zelda 2"... come on, based on the content of his post, wasn't it obvious what he meant?

Anyway, yeah, Zelda 1 and 2 were great. LttP was good... ish. LA was mediocre. OoT and everything after is just ugh.

I'd love to see something like Zelda 1 and 2 again. Nintendo really dropped the ball with this series. :/
