1TruthPosted 1/27/2013 3:20:14 PM | Link was in Soul Calibur II and he fit in like a glove with the other realistically proportioned combatants.
I would love a Zelda game with realistic graphics (TP graphics), a Link in his 20's (E3 2010 concept art of Skyward Sword) and with realistic character models for all the Hylians.

Goombacrusher07Posted 1/27/2013 4:28:21 PM (edited) | WE NEED MORE REALISM!
Unrealistic things is my fantasy video games? Heresy! Video games should tie themselves to real life more! Who cares about imagination or creativity? I want this game to be as realistic as possible! Link should be a grown man in his forties who just recently got laid off from his job at the plant. The game will tell the story of him struggling to find a job so he can provide for his fat wife Zelda, who has had 4 kids and is pregnant with a 5th one, and is putting a financial strain on Link. The first dungeon will be link searching the welfare offices for his next check, and in order to beat the game he must collect 4 jobs on his application before he can fight Ganondorf over a desk job at a major corporation. The game will end with Link tripping an falling out a window to his death, because that's how death works in real life. If Nintendo makes this game I will buy it a week before it is released.
Oh and maybe the game will have gameplay too or something, I dunno. --- http://i.imgur.com/VQTIb.png Press Left to brofist. |

JvaasPosted 1/28/2013 2:37:19 PM | tc is clearly talking about more realistic character models... all of you are being pedantic and unproductive with your responses
but i think realism is the wrong word also... i personally zelda would benefit from having the same dark fantasy theme that twilight princess had
my ideal zelda would have an art style similar to dark souls haha, with a more mature link --- i like skooma |
Alan_00XPosted 1/28/2013 3:05:49 PM | To answer TC's question: no they won't ever stoop that low. |
auflamePosted 1/28/2013 3:25:57 PM | The answer is in your comment TC. Nintendo already made a realistic character model for a Zelda game, in Twilight Princess. I actually found the style from SS to be my favorite. --- PSN: auflame Soul Silver FC: 2666 2859 6177 |
RedwingedMinxPosted 1/28/2013 5:28:36 PM | Tbh I dont think they will. I dont consider the tech demo or TP to be realistic either. It still looks cartoony and the characters aren't as detailed as they could be. They still have the doe eyes and the spiky clumped together anime hair. To be fair I dont even consider Xenosaga II to be realistic looking. I guess compared to the others TP and the demo are realistic-but on their own? Nah. I'm strict when it comes to these things.
Here's what I'd call realistic: http://www.giantbomb.com/nathan-drake/94-162/all-images/52-295788/1653476_5246241367_1f4c2e7c10_b/51-1653492/

It would be interesting if they could make a Zelda with this level of detail. |

alien21195Posted 1/29/2013 7:32:50 PM | Realistic character models wouldn't really work for a series like Zelda, with its over the top wacky (and sometimes down right grotesque) NPCs. I think adding too much realism would kill the whismical charm, yeah? --- "This quote is not inspiring nor funny"- alien21195 People who were left disappointed by this sig:0 |
DasDavidPosted 1/29/2013 11:44:22 PM | Sure as hell hope not. the tech demo is about as real as I would ever care to see the universe represented and I would HATE to have a Zelda game without a cast of funky ass looking NPCs. SS was my favorite, TP was good too, but I think I'd prefer something like an HD rendition of the style used in SS. |
