Well, Zeldainformer has lost all credibility to me due to their choice post almost certainly false rumors, so I'm not sure what I can garner from this.

He said he's taking full responsibility (something presidents of American companies, and I don't just mean video games, should be doing more often). Nothing said about resigning.

This. He didn't say anything about resigning, and if he does they should beg to keep him. Both the DS and Wii came out under his lead, and they brought Nintendo back into the lead in the console wars. The 3DS is picking up (and will more so when the next gen of Pokemon comes out), and I'm sure the Wii U will as well, since we've got Zelda, Smash Bros, Yoshi, Pikmin and tons more on the way. Nintendo will be fine.

It's pretty silly to think he's resigning just because the author of this article(s) assumes he's resigning and we just follow it. If you read his quotes without anybody analyzing it would you have assumed he means he would resign?
