The Legend of Zelda Wii U

Teased us with some awesome footage of what the game "could" look like (i.e the spaceworld and E3 tech demo's), which is what the vast majority of Zelda fans want, getting them all hyped up. Then they announce they are doing the complete opposite to that, and do a kiddy cartoony version, and expect everyone to bask in their amazing originality. Why can't you stop torturing us like this Nintendo?!

First off, while Nintendo did show us a demo, we know nothing of what Zelda Wii U is going to look like. Wind Waker HD is not Zelda Wii U, and while Nintendo likely won't use the graphics we saw in the demo at E3, that doesn't mean the next game is going to be cel-shaded or have "kiddy graphics" as you put it.

Gaming is going to die again.

The way I see it is, they said they were trying to determine the style to use, so they tried old style's in HD. It came down to TWO and one was WW's style. We're getting WW HD so to me it seems the other style won out BUT since they really liked the WW style in HD they just thought they'd remake it for us.

I guess some Zelda fans struggle with pattern recognition.
Did we seriously learn absolutely nothing from the Spaceworld/Wind Waker thing?

Demos aren't always going to be exactly what we end up getting.

This...makes a lot of sense. Disappointed that it means we might not get a new game in WW style, though. Especially since I don't think there would be a backlash this time, as most of the fans have accepted it, and hold the game as one of the best now.

But the general gaming population hasn't.
