A retro style Zelda game made as a sister game to this one

What if along with this game, they made a 8 bit zelda game as downloadable title, or an add-on to this game.

I've said it before: a game with the overworld, gameplay, item creativity and feel of the Oracles games but with the attention to graphics and music quality/composition of Minish Cap (as well as the sword gameplay from MC) would be perfect.

8-bit would be fine, I guess. The first two Zeldas are incredible, even today. I think something more like LttP would be preferable though.

Boring, easy, linear, focused on puzzles and story, no freedom or choice... corridor-like overworld... items mostly copied from previous games, except certain ones like the Magnet Gloves (which is just a lame replacement for the Hookshot)...

No thanks. That's how Zelda games are, generally, ever since Link's Awakening. It's not the proper direction, especially not for a "retro style" Zelda game. Classic / retro Zelda involves non-linearity, Action-RPG elements, and challenge.

Oh, you mean dull and green...? Minish Cap paid little attention to graphics, they're worse than in LttP. The sound samples on the GBA are of low quality for various reasons, so "quality" isn't what you should be talking about (I'm not about to judge the compositions of The Minish Cap, except that they aren't very fitting for a classic Zelda game).

I'm not even sure what you're talking about when you mention the "sword gameplay from MC". You mean the same sword swinging that's been in all 2d Zeldas since LttP? MC didn't add anything to that formula. I could understand if you were talking about Ys : The Oath in Felghana or something, but... yeah, no, there's nothing unique in MC in regards to sword swinging.

Yeah I agree. The Oracles games are the absolute pinnacle of 2D Zelda
