Solid SonicPosted 11/19/2012 6:51:23 AM | It might help for projectile weapons but I think we can move away from Z-targeting for sword attacks. --- Buy a Wii U: Don't support platforms that can play Resident Evil 6. Free yourself from the chains of corruption. |
SilfalasPosted 11/19/2012 7:11:00 AM (edited) | That would work if we could control the camera again. In WW and TP I don't use the targeting that much. I just zoom out the camera so I can have a good view around and start slashing. --- Currently playing: Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn |
DanspurtPosted 11/19/2012 8:02:20 AM (edited) | I would miss it, I use it all the time.
I would like camera control and Z-targeting at the same time, though, so I can change the camera without accidentally locking on to something. --- "The problem with quotes on the Internet is that you never really know how accurate they actually are" - Abraham Lincoln |
iKhanicPosted 11/19/2012 8:46:50 AM | I suppose that is one way to make the game harder, but I like Z-targeting --- Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US |
DanspurtPosted 11/19/2012 9:31:44 AM | I don't think making it clumsier is the proper approach to increase difficulty. --- "The problem with quotes on the Internet is that you never really know how accurate they actually are" - Abraham Lincoln |
Symphonic_SagePosted 11/19/2012 3:25:58 PM | I'd prefer they keep z targeting and just get rid of some of its bugs...
oh and give us back the option to z target with the bow. While strafing is cool, I totally missed that in SS. --- The Ancient Cistern: Yo dawg, we heard you like temples, so we put a shadow temple in your water temple, that way you can explore while you explore. |
Goombacrusher07Posted 11/19/2012 3:31:28 PM | Yes we do. Any 3D action game that isn't Monster Hunter or Ys needs lock-on controls. --- http://i.imgur.com/VQTIb.png Press Left to brofist. |

/topic --- http://www.youtube.com/user/godunman I do Let's Plays. Currently, and close to done on Skyward Sword. |

You know, I actually didn't miss that. I guess I just felt that the upgraded sword beam turned the sword into a multi-purpose tool in that regard, while the bow was mostly used for sniping. Didn't realize it until now. Clever design. --- "The problem with quotes on the Internet is that you never really know how accurate they actually are" - Abraham Lincoln |

Didn't realize it until now. Clever design. Agreed. The massively reduced usefulness of the bow for anything other than sniping was alarming. In TP, it was pretty much broken and I used it all the time. This was on the Wii version, so I don't know how good it was with cumbersome GameCube aiming. |
