I'm okay with it, as long as Nintendo doesn't integrate precision swinging into 50% of enemies and puzzles, such that it removes the immersion the controls otherwise bring.

Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US

I want them back too, Nintendo shouldn't give up on motion controls yet, especially now that they are finally making new ways to integrate them in videogames.

Sword controls are fine. It was Nintendo shoehorning motion gimmicks into everything from flying to swimming to minecarts that really ruined them.

I'd like to see the motion controls return too, but pruned back a bit. Bomb throwing, swimming, and boss keys really don't need to use them, and they should be optional for any aiming controls. Not every enemy fight should center around motion controls. Directional swings have a lot of potential, but they shouldn't be emphasized to the point that combat becomes slow and methodical and loses its focus on reflexes. Lastly, the sword controls need to be polished up a bit and made more responsive.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a hideously underrated game.

I personally don't like motion controls, I woundn't mind if there was an option to turn motion controls on or off though.
