Mmm... I see why did you loved TP so much. It was the second 3D game that you played. Of course having missed MM and WW, TP would have to be the greatest thing invented since g-strings.\

This reasoning makes no sense. One could say the exact same thing and interpret it to mean that TP should not by TC's favorite.

It does, in fact. TP is extremely similar to OoT. It is the 3D Zelda that most resembles it, if we take in acount MM, WW, and SS. Now, if you played OoT and then ONLY played TP, without playing any of those mentioned above, would you say that TP is better than OoT? Definitely.

And why's that? Because TP is like an OoT 2.0. It is OoT, but better. It's not different enough like MM or WW to really stand out.

Kinda like WW and PH: PH is a watered down (pun intended) WW. TP is an upgraded OoT. People that have played both think that WW is better than PH.
People that have played TP and OoT are most likely to say that TP is better than Ocarina, hence Isaac's reasoning.

I don't think I can agree with this. While I haven't tried starting over yet I think I would enjoy a replay of PH just as much as I did the first time.

And while neither of them are bad games it has already been my experience from trying to start over again in TWW that it has a lot going against it after the first time through.

...and none of what you just said has anything to do with the fact that TC played OoT and then TP. All you said is that TP is better than OoT, point blank.

This topic is entirely about OoT and TP. I'm pretty sure the only time another game has even been mentioned is to say that WW has the only version of Ganondorf with any kind of character development. So whatever you've come in hear to say about TP and the rest of the series is irrelevant.

so what you're saying is, if I played WW or MM in between OoT and TP, I WOULDN'T agree that TP is better than OoT?
what kind of sense does that make?

the things I hate about MM aren't new. I always hated obscure side quests, playing under a time limit, babysitting stupid NPCs and annoying fetch quests
if I had played MM right after OoT, I would have ended up hating it all the same
as for WW, I obviously don't know, since I didn't play it. I did watch a number of LPs of it, though. looks solid enough and I think I'd enjoy it more than OoT, but less than TP

while we're at it, got a psychological deconstruction for why I like MC more than Alttp?

For me, TP IS better than OoT, cause it's bigger, better story and OoT has a really annoying dungeon - Water Temple.
Twilight Princess is the best! :D

It is hard to make my point across if is not in Spanish. Lately my English skills have been less than remarkable. Oh well, let's just leave it at that.

The only flaw in TP is that weirdass baby that talks and opens a shop.
ITS A BABY FOR GODS SAKE. BABIES CANNOT TALK LET ALONE OPEN AND RUN A SHOP.

Collecting tears>collecting whatever it was I had to collect in Skyward sword.
Keep your dirty stealth bullcrap out of my Zeldas, ktx.

While Malo is extremely young to be running a business, he's not quite that young. I'd guess somewhere around 5 years old, maybe. (And I'd say about 10 years old for a lot of the other children in the series, although there are a few likely to also be about 5.)

At any rate, this is a baby:

This:

looks several years older than that.

Also, this is a fictional world and it can follow its own rules anyway. A little girl can own and live alone in her own house. A little boy can be a monster slaying master swordsman. Who says a child in such a world can't manage to sit behind a counter and sell stuff?

edit: An adult with round pudgy cheeks like Malo's:

(It's the cheeks that make him look a little more baby-faced than other children his age, I assume.)

I played the 3D games in this order: TP > OOT > MM > WW > SS
Yet I rank them like this: OOT, SS, MM, WW, TP

There's not really any correlation between my playing order and my ranking.

Oddly, I used to like TP better than OOT, until I replayed TP. Playing it for the second time, its pacing issues and lack of freedom stuck out like a sore thumb, I noticed new flaws, and I found that its dungeon design wasn't quite as good. Replaying OOT hasn't made me like it any less. In fact, on my second and third playthroughs, I was very surprised at how many new things I kept discovering.
