wiiking96Posted 12/25/2012 8:25:24 AM | Both would have access to all of their abilities throughout the games, and they fight alone.
One thing I'd like to make clear: The "MAGIC ALWAYS > TECHNOLOGY" argument will not fly. Magic is simply a means to an end, and is not limitless. The Master Sword wouldn't be able to slice through Samus' armor just because it's enchanted. You would have to explain its magic would be effective against Samus in particular.
My first argument: Samus could remove Link's shields with her Grapple Lasso, so Mirror Shield is a no-go. --- More villains need to be protagonists. BiS proves it can work. Ridley, Ganondorf, Fawful, Bowser, and Dimentio all for their own games! |
iKhanicPosted 12/25/2012 9:13:28 AM | But a grapple beam is still a beam, so maybe the mirror shield can deflect it.
And as a great cartoon character once said "MAGIC MUST DEFEAT MAGIC" --- Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US Currently Playing: Tales of Innocence, NSMB, ALttP |

And as a great cartoon character once said "MAGIC MUST DEFEAT MAGIC" the shields of the space pirates deflect normal shots, but the grapple lasso latches on. Link has a big handicap here because most of his most powerful weapons, like the Master Sword and Light Arrows, are designed to destroy or suppress evil. Samus isn't evil, so those weapons would not be very useful against her the master sword may be very well-crafted, but it would just *ping* off of Samus' armor just like against the shield of an iron nuckle in TP, or the hard scales of a dodongo in OoT --- Waiting for golden Sun 3DS 2 things are infinite: The Universe and human stupidity. CrystalKing5426Posted 12/25/2012 9:43:59 AM | I should point out how incredibly broken the Metroidverse is, namely Samus having muiti-terawatt weaponry and withstanding 850x earth gravity without her suit. Wave+Plamsa beam would also pass through any of his shields, even Mirror, with minimal effort. --- Other M is the One More Day of Metroid |

kirbymastahPosted 12/25/2012 9:50:02 AM | omg wiiking i thought you were joking when you said you're starting this thread.
but yeah, anyone who says Link wins either:
1. Doesn't have any common sense 2. Doesn't know anything about Samus
And for those who fall under #2, reading this thread should fix that... |

PinxedPosted 12/25/2012 9:58:23 AM | Mirror shield could absorb the energy...? *shrugs*
