3rd take was aborted again : The first day being too loaded, I decided to postpone Garo's Mask until the 3rd cycle, or day 3.

The first day went perfectly, Mikau died at 9.45 AM, I'm used to the Pirates' Fortress by now. Keeta went down easily and only touched me twice.

And then I died 5 times against that damn Iron Knuckle. 2.30AM, too late for THEM. I decide to throw off this take and to study the Iron Knuckle and his fighting style. I need to find a way to consistently defeat him with 7 hearts and the Kokiri Sword (the real difference with the Gilded is the range in this fight). Deku Sticks don't affect him, or so it seems.

You can start the fight with 5 hearts (3 heart respawn + two pots outside). No potions, there's a zora egg in the only bottle.

Turns out he has three attacks (all deal 4 hearts)
-Prepare axe in the air, swing to the floor : Can be avoided left, right, or by being too far, OR by being too close as Link.
-Swing to the right + Swing to the left : Can be avoided by double sidestep to the right, or being too far.
-Backwards strike (happens when you're at 6 o'clock) with his left hand : Can only be avoided by being too far. Avoid if possible.

The kicker is that when he loses his armor, you temporarily lose control over Link, and the next attack is 90% sure to land. Without his armor, his attacks can be interrupted about 0.25 second before the axe motion.

....After a lot of testing (ending Day 2,12 AM), I found out that Goron Link is best suited against him. I won't lose against him anymore. The range is still disappointing, but the power of the Goron Punches make the fight shorter.

No update today, but a crazy idea and a question :

How exactly do you get the Fierce Deity Mask?
The classic way to do it is to give all the masks to the Moon Childs, and Majora gives it to play, because you don't have any more masks.

Odolwa kid asks 1 mask (to start) and 1 mask (to finish)
Goht kid asks 2 masks (to start) and 2 masks (to finish)
Gyorg kid asks 3 masks (to start) and 3 masks (to finish)
Twinmold kid asks 4 masks (to start) and 4 masks (to finish)

Do you see where I'm getting at?
There are 20 Masks in the game, but two of them (All-Night, Truth) are damn impossible to get in a Fortnight play.

But let's say I end up with precisely 16. Or 14. I give them all....and I don't have any masks this way either. :)

Does it work? Has anyone tried this ever?

Don't think that would work. i mean, you can give any of the children your masks anyway, even if you don't have enough, and his dialogue specifically refers to the others being gone.

Also, for Iron Knuckles, bait, dodge, hit, repeat.

The transition "dodge-hit" is the problem. The Kokiri Sword has crappy range. Anyway, I can defeat him anytime now with Goron Link.

4th take....aborted! :)
The whole 1st Day went without trouble (yay), 2nd Day started good with the Like-Like HP and the Beavers (ended at 12.30)....but turns out, it's just not possible to complete Pinnacle Rock in 5 hours, and be back in Romani Ranch before 6 pm.

So tomorrow might finally be the final take. I will aim for :
-Epona
-Stone Mask
-Zora Mask, Hookshot
-Keeta, Song of Storms
-THEM
-Like Like HP, Beavers
-Zora Hall Music HP
-A little time to kill here
-Cremia
-Postman's Game, Ingo's Mask
-Pinnacle Rock, Seahorse HP
-Garo Hood
-Pirates' Fortress
-Dampe's Bottle

I'd recommend trying to get the Gilded Sword and finish of Great Bay Temple in the next cycle. You can drop off your sword at any moment before 6AM, and it will be done at 6AM. Alternatively, you can drop it off right away, Fire Arrow the furnace. And you don't really need the sword much in Great Bay Temple or Snowhead Temple. Sword's only useful there for the eye boss, and he clearly wasn't designed with the AOE of Fire Arrows in mind.

SECOND CYCLE, SIXTH AND LAST TAKE
The Fish Dealer

Hit List
-Epona
-Stone Mask
-Zora Mask, Hookshot
-Keeta, Song of Storms
-THEM
-Like Like HP, Beavers
-Zora Hall Music HP
-A little time to kill here
-Cremia
-Postman's Game, Ingo's Mask
-Pinnacle Rock, Seahorse HP
-Garo Hood
-Pirates' Fortress
-Dampe's Bottle

What happened
At last! :)

1st day went very smoothly : Mikau died at 9.30. The fortress was quick and efficient, Keeta and the Iron Knuckle died quickly, at 9.30 PM. Came back for the Postman's Game and won the HP. Dropped the egg and exchanged a Gerudo Picture for the Seahorse. THEM was okay.

2nd day was cool also. Like-Like HP and Beavers went easily. Did the Zora Music HP, and the Scarecrow Hookshot HP (in the Mountain) to kill time. Helped Cremia and won Romani Mask+ Circus Leader Mask. Got some rupees here and there because you have downtime before the Milk Bar opens.

Pinnacle Rock went very easily. If you want the HP you need to kill all the monsters, I did it with a full magic bar. Pirate's Fortress, part II was a bit sloppy but okay. It turns out you can't race with the Ingos when you showered them with arrows the night before.

Dampe's Bottle was long and tedious but it can't be helped.

5 min to kill here before the end....sell the Poe (and buy Big Bomg Bag), Piranha HP (feed the fishes) and Underwater Termina HP (Break Rock as Goron, drop HP in the water and dive as Zora)

884 Rupees in Bank (there's a lot of downtime, and the Pirate's Fortress is loaded)....enough for three cycles powered with Chateau Romani :)

Checklist
-Big Bomb Bag, Powder Keg
-Bow, Fire Arrows
-Hookshot
-Lens of Truth, Pictograph Box
-Ocarina of Time
-4 Bottles (Kotake, Romani, Beavers, Dampe)
-Bomber Book

-Deku Mask, Goron Mask, Zora Mask
-Kafei, Great Fairy, Blast, Bremen, Bunny Hood, Scent, Kamaro, Stone, Keeta, Romani, Circus Leader
-Odolwa's Remains

-8 hearts
-2 heart Pieces
- Heart Pieces obtained :
Cycle 1 : Clock Tower, North Clock Town, Hand in Toilet, Kamaro Disciples, Deku Scrub, Peahat, Dodongo, Woodfall area, Deku Palace, Picture of King, Sword Training
Cycle 2 : Pirate's Fortress, Postman's Game, Like-Like, Scarecrow, Seahorse, Piranha, Underwater Termina

1st Cycle - Hero's Bow, Fire Arrows, Powder Keg, Odolwa
2nd Cycle - Epona, Zora Eggs, Song of Storms

3rd Cycle - Garo's Mask, Ice Arrows, Goht
4th Cycle - Mirror Shield, Ikana Castle, Gyorg
5th Cycle - Light Arrows, Twinmold, Moon

Garo's Mask had to be postponed. 3rd cycle is easy as it is, so I will try to include :
-Anju/Kafei (Postman's Hat ending)
-Gilded Sword

The time will not be the problem here, but the timing will. There will be a lot of backtracking between Clock Town and dungeons....

THIRD CYCLE, FIRST TAKE
I trolled myself

Detailed hitlist (timing is important)
1st Day :
6h : Get 60 rupees; Buy Powder Keg (Keep 10 rupees)
6 to 13 : Ice Arrows
13 to 14 : Garo Hood (10 rupees race)
14h30 : Talk to Anju (Meeting + Link room)
14h30 to ASAP : Defeat Goht
ASAP : Get 200 rupees; Buy Chateau Romani. Meet with Anju. Get 100 rupees from Room. Drop Letter. Drop Sword

2nd Day :
6h : Goron Race; Zora Mountain HP
9h : Get Sword ; Drop Sword
9 to 16 : Moon's Tear; Land title deed, Mountain title deed, Ocean title deed, Canyon title deed (4 heart pieces); activate Ikana statue
16 : See Kafei, See Anju
17 to ... : Defeat Gyorg

3rd Day :
ASAP : Get Gilded Sword
16 : Get Keaton's Mask + Letter
18 : Help Kafei
0 : Give letter to Postman; Postman's Hat
3 : Postman's Hat HP
4 : Lover's Mask

Do you see a problem?

.....How do I activate the statue with no sword? :)) That happened to me. So for next time, I will keep the sword until AFTER the Ikana Statue

Okay so it happened more or less fine first time. I failed to do Day 1 on time so I had to scratch Chateau Romani (which sucks for the Great Bay Temple) but I lost 2 hours in Snowhead because I entered the temple without arrows ( -___- )
The GBT was sloppy (first time through) and I think I can complete it 100% next time (15 Stray Fairies and Double Hearts!)

That will shave off time Cycle 4 and I will be able to do some more stuff.

5th cycle is starting to look a little barren... Since the moon has no time limit.
