The Legend of Zelda Wii U

Honestly, I think future Zelda installments would greatly benefit from using a pegasus as Link's method of transportation. It would be a lot of fun to run around like Epona or fly like a Loftwing, and be able to switch between the two at will.

This could open up many new ways to explore Hyrule or whatever area the games take place in, as the pegasus could fly to otherwise unreachable areas and help you discover secrets, like cool new items or secret dungeons in the mountainside or in lands above the clouds or something.

Mounted combat could definitely make a return here, with enemies designed to fight in the sky, land, or a mix of both, or even directly above water or lava. I could already imagine the satisfaction from dropping down on a land monster with the pegasus and trampling over it, or backflipping off the pegasus and doing a jump slash that would be really powerful from your falling momentum. They could make some weapons easier to use on the pegasus for more combat variety.

Maybe the pegasus could use some magic attacks too, which would become more powerful with upgrades or something. There are so many possibilities because pegasi are such unique creatures.
