I have NG3 on ps3 and honestly its the only one I dislike. Story, I strangely enjoy thanks to the cheesy parts. I've completed Sigma 1, NG2, Platinum trophied Sigma 2 and completed Dragon Sword. But NG3 just doesn't have that enjoyment to it's combat :( I have my Wii U ready for this version but we don't get until January! So annoying. So how are you lot finding it? Is the combat more like NG2/sigma 2 now? It looks better at least but does it have that NG feel to it? --- You don't have enough hate............and you know something, you never will.
It is better than the PS360 version. I had the 360 copy, and disliked it for the same reason as you. Razor's Edge, to me, feels like a real Ninja Gaiden game. And the story is the same, except Day 0 was cut out, and Ayane has 2 of her own missions. There is also Scarab, and Crystal Skull hunting. You get 4 Ninpo's, Art of the Infernor, Art of Piercing Void, Art of Wind Blades, and True Inferno which is the Dragon ninpo from the original, also Ayane has her own. You also get 6 weapons, Dragon Sword, Falcon's Talons, Eclipse Scythe, Dual Katanas, Lunar Staff, and the Kasari-Gama. Ayane is similar to the way she was in Sigma 2. Ryu, Ayane, Momiji, and I'm assuming Kasumi, have 4 costumes each. --- Wii U: FirEmblmFan ; Wii: 0862 0481 6764 0576 XBGT: X 1 8 9 9 9 28 ; PSN: MikeAPortanova
That does sound like as big of an improvement as I was hoping for, ill get it regardless on day 1 of release. I just need me some more quality NG goodness, gonna try finish NG Black soon as 3 was irritating with Ryu's slow responsiveness :( --- You don't have enough hate............and you know something, you never will.
Well, about the 6 weapons, can Ayane and the others use those too? Because I have only seen Ryu use them. --- <Insert random pointless signature here>

The girls only use their own weapon and Ninpo, to compensate they have tricks of their own to give their playingstyles some unique traits. Ayane has some really wicked speed and mobility (she probably still has that very high delimb rate and OHKO happy Flying Swallow), while Momiji can double jump/charge UT in the air/do Ninpo in the air. Kasumi is still unknown what her tricks are. To answer TC's question: Yes! It's now actually fun to play (I haven't played it yet, but what I've seen in playthroughs tells me it's now an actual NG game and everyone who has it seems to agree) and there's a good amount of content now. They also cut the amount of lame stuff down immensely which is now virtually nonexistant. Ninja Trials are still the same boss repeat ad infinite mess though. Although I expected this with how little was shown of it during the last months and how much time they had to fix the entire game.... --- WiiU/PSN: Kuro-puppy YT Playlists: http://www.youtube.com/user/NinjaSyao/featured

I hated ng3 on ps3. It was garbage for the most part. Razors edge feels very different. I played it today for about 3 hours and it felt like the good old days of ninja gaiden. It wont top ng1 or 2, but now i can welcome the third game in my collection. If the ps3 version was a 4/10, i would put this game up to a 7.5-8 based on the first 2 days/levels. I had an absolute blast with the crystal skull fights, and suvived with a millimeter of health left! I hope the rest of the game continues to be as fun. All NG fans should give razors edge a spin. It still is a weak story, and some of the visuals are off, but the fighting is a blast, even with the gamepad.

That's a point, how is the Gamepad responsive wise for NG as its great for Warriors Orochi and Mario. Just I know from master ninja runs on Sigma 2 how vital the dodges are B-) --- You don't have enough hate............and you know something, you never will.
