Lightning_fanPosted 1/6/2013 5:20:03 AM | Like Razor's Edge it is restoring gore to a game that was lacking in the department (purple mist Sigma 2).
So it has all the content of the PS3 game. Gore/dismemberment returning and is portable.
It is available on the Vita if anyone here has one.
Basically more portable Ninja Gaiden like Dragon Sword (which was great for the DS). |
HiCEctoCoolerPosted 1/6/2013 7:02:55 AM (edited) | It also has two new game modes. One is Tag Mission which allows you to use two characters during a mission. The other is Ninja Race where you select a character and rush through a "course" (seems like new stages set up for this, but I could be wrong). In that mode you collect power ups and such (like an arcade heavy racing game) that help boost you through and score higher.
There are new costumes as well and iirc properly Ayane, Momiji, and Rachael can all 3 be used in Mission Mode (more a kin to Razro's Edge in this regard). I could be mistaking on that last one, but if I am, I know you can use all characters in Tag Mission (which uses the base game) so- The game has also has a few tweaks, like in Sigma Plus. Different enemies in different spots, balancing tweaked, etc.
Also, your Karma carries over through all modes. It's looking like the upgrade system is a bit tweaked now too, they've (TN) mentioned EXP and leveling up, but it's all been very casually and nothing specific.
Anyway, like Sigma Plus, I'm down for it. What little extra Sigma Plus had (plus the tweaks to enemies) was well worth it, but I'm biased, I love NG and have all of them save the vanilla version of 3, that will never touch my consoles, ever. |
Moanin_RoninPosted 1/6/2013 8:29:58 AM | Already preordered, so I can take the fight against the Black Spider Ninja Clan and their fiendish allies on the go. Though I'm cautiously dubious concerning this new racing mode. What's next? Ninja Dance Mode? Ninja Sing-a-Long Mode? --- Ganbatte-yo! Ikken hissatsu!!! NettoSaitoPosted 1/6/2013 9:33:53 AM | Yep, I plan on it lol. I'm also hoping they will allow us to use all of the characters in all of the stages in chapter challenge mode. It'd also be nice to see extra characters as well, just for the heck of it. --- 3DS FC - [1203-9218-7780] | XBL - [NettoSaito] | PSN - [NettoSaito] | Nintendo Network - [NettoSaito] My Backloggery - http://www.backloggery.com/NettoSaito |
RaengPosted 1/6/2013 12:24:29 PM | Those options sound really cool, shame it's on a handheld that's flopped (at least here) so hard you could consider it a felony to even have the device around these parts. Shame. Wouldn't mind revisiting my favorite entry in the series by a long shot! --- PSN: Royta15 www.youtube.com/royta15 |

dragonkiryuPosted 1/6/2013 6:00:08 PM | I sold my copy of Sigma 2 on the PS3. After I finished Master Ninja, I just had no desire to play the game again. Ninja Gaiden 3 made me realize just how great Sigma 2 actually was. I'm going to wait for reviews and impressions before I buy Sigma 2 Plus. Gotta make sure you can turn off that horrible gyro-controlled shooting (you couldn't in Sigma 1 Plus) But yeah, if that option exists, I'll definitely pick it up. |
BlackPhoenix127Posted 1/6/2013 8:25:10 PM | Did they give us back the Windmil Shuriken and Incendiary Kunai? Throwing weapon UTs? --- PSN: Azure-Edge |

Gen2000Posted 1/6/2013 9:43:12 PM | Tag Mode = Neat Idea if it's as fluid as I think it is. Ninja Race = lol
Guess there had to be some balance somewhere in ideas. --- The Storm Is About To Rage..... |
