Obliterations?

Question for those that played the original NG3 and RE.....with the renewed emphasis on dismemberment and obliteration techniques back in RE, are there any new/different obliteration animations that were not in NG3 vanilla? If I recall correctly, there were two obliteration animations in NG3 (for the sword).

Thanks!

Yes there's ALOT more now & it depends on which limb is cut (hand/foot but right or left don't matter) as well as what weapon you use to do it. My favorite is when you remove a leg from a human soldier & Ryu does a one leg spin to lop off a long diagonal chunk out of the guy, then slice him into 3 more pieces. It's similar to NG2 but there are a few more they added.

Hell yeah, awesome! Thanks man! This is exactly what I was hoping to hear.

The visceral thrill of NG2's obliterations is unmatched in other action games IMO. So, it is great to hear it back in full force in RE (in combination with an awesome sounding new approach to Steel on Bone).

Yeah, there are many different and awesome animations when players SB or OT the enemies.

However, do not recall there being able to delimb enemies in the beta version. Since there is no delimb in that game which means there is no OT.

Very cool.

Yes, there were limited OTs in NG3 vanilla/beta but they were essentially meaningless without the dismemberment system and just mercy finishers on dying enemies.

Dude! So many more animations. More obliterations (based on degree of enemy dismemberment, or whether a stealth kill, etc) per melee weapon, and twice as many melee weapons. And that's just for Ryu! There are also three additional characters, each with their own respective obliterations.

Well the main diferences are:

The wii u version is 60, and PS360 are 40
In the Wii U version, you can play in the gamepad's screen at 60 FPS (big plus for me)

I have Wii U's RE, but I'll get the PS3 or 360 one, depending which one loooks better (PS3's Vanilla NG3 looked milles better than xbox 360's)
