So, why DID Trion want to make level 1 players have a chance against level 1000?

I agree with most people, what's the point of finding orange items when they are the same if not worse than the rest of the items?
A sniper rifle at level 1000 should be quite better than one at level 15.

This game is fun, but it's kinda annoying seeing the same weapons over and over again with no changes.
Oh look, another scattergun, hey it has the exact same stats as mine.
I keep wanting to find an assault rifle that does more damage than the one I have does, but they always are the same.

This is pretty much my only complaint about the game, really.
It feels so pointless when I stop and think about it, but the game is strangely addictive.

The game would be loads better if you gained better loot the more you level up. Also make it so you get more hp when you level up to balance it out a little. Also, orange weapons should be worth the effort spent trying to find them.

But then why bother having gear? I mean this isn't Call of Duty where everyone has access to the same things at the same time. This is an RPG where you collect loot to make your character strong. And having leveled loot does not get rid of skill.

Did you even read what TC posted? Yea you make some good points and you should be rewarded for the time you put into the game. For now ill be skipping out on this knowing that there are no real benefits with getting better equipment/weapons.

When I get higher level gear, it tends to have better damage, reload speeds, mod slots, stuff like that. Therefore can do more damage quicker. Not sure how that is not better.

The fact that a lvl 1 can take a lvl 1000 is fine because you should have more experience and have had more time to get used to how to play how you like to play. is it wrong that the game assumes that as you level you gain skill in the game? the enemies don't get rediculously harder as you lvl so why give you stronger guns? give you better guns sure but not stronger. While the difference between guns isn't great it can be seen and a high quality one is something you still have to work for.

I just got a green mod for larger magazine. It took me from 85 to 119 ammo count. When you add up all the perk slots, passive weapon level-ups, and actual guns that are leveled and have a bonus...then add up high level mods that low level players wont likely have, there are a lot of advantages higher level players have. Less recoil, larger mags, synergy bonuses, better damage points...what more do people want?

I'm a level 530..this is the best mod i've found. Seems to me, by the time i'm 1000...i'll have something better.

It looks like a bunch of the guys who like to out-level everybody due to sheer volume of playtime want to just come on the game and own everybody who doesn't have countless hours to play. Yea...thats real rpg'ish right there.

Way to go Trion...better for a shooter this way.

But if they're going that route then why bother having a loot system? Why not give everyone the same shield, their choice of 3 kinds of grenades, and 2 weapons of their choice? This game is an MMORPG. It's not Planetside 2.

Finding higher level loot to make your character better is part of every MMORPG.

I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. If you take the same brand and weapon type, it doesn't matter if you're 10 or 1000 ego rating, the stats will be the same. For example, take a Votan Bolter sniper rifle. You can pick one up at ego 100, or ego 2000 the stats will be the same. The values are predetermined and they don't progress as you level up.
