I think a 40-45 character roster would be perfect.

Personally I'd be upset if they removed anyone with a unique, non-clone moveset.

Your choices are reasonable but don't you think it'd be better if no unique movesets were eliminated?

You have a really good point. I just feel like Ike and Lucario should be replaced with newer characters from their respective series.

Why would sakurai get rid off unique movesets when he can easily just add 1 to each series.

I don't see how they're relevant anymore. Lucario got into Brawl because he was the face of the 4th generation of Pokemon, so to speak, and Ike was the most recent FE character. With the 6th generation coming and a brand new FE game out this year, they don't really belong IMO.

I was wondering when you were going to bring up relevance. Truth be told Ike and Lucario are still pretty relevant seeing FE:A is all about Ike's descendant and he gets DLC albeit alot of other lords got it too but that still makes him relevant not to memtion he is still incredibly popular. Now Lucario Still gets anime special's pokemon game events and Is the mascot of a TV show for about 3-5 years now Including he is still immensely popular in japan. The only thing going against these to is if there companies deem them worthy of having a spot which I very clnfident they will.

8 cuts: Toon Link, Pokemon Trainer (Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard), Lucario, Ike, Snake, and Sonic.

Then add 15 newcomers. Lets say those are:

Dixie Kong
Palutena
Chrom
Genesect
Mewtwo/Awakened Form
Mach Rider
Takamaru
Little Mac
Shulk
Villager
Wii Fit Trainer
Mega Man
Pac-Man
Another Third Party

So around 45 characters sounds about right.
