...a fighting game that uses the Tekken/SC engine, but with Nintendo characters.

Basically SSB, but as a traditional 1 v 1 3D fighter.

Is Metroid's gun part of his armor or is he a cyborg like Data from Star wars?

Um...I don't really know. After the initial shock, probably a huge wave of curiosity and pessimism.

I'll never play it but I'm sure someone will enjoy it.

I might dig a traditional fighter if it's a fast paced one with air dashes and such, but not the slower paced ones ala tekken.

I'd skip it
i deeply hate Tekken's pathetic attempt at a fighting-game engine

It could even have Spyro, Crash, Sonic, Mario, Megaman, Sora, Sephiroth, Sam & Max, Mewtwo, Amaterasu and Deadpool in the roster. But if it's done with a Tekken engine, it's still garbage to me

My opinion may end up being unpopular, but I'd definitely hope it'd be more like Soul Calibur. Tekken's okay, but something about the pace of the gameplay isn't my thing. I want to say it feels slow, but that still doesn't seem accurate.

I'd totally play it though, no matter which engine they used.

I'm for it.
