Yes.

Though if it were a move it would most likely replace his Down B, the Tornado, which I'm really attached to. It has beast recovery and priority. I wonder how the Poltergeist can beat it.

So using an E. Gadd device just like Mario does makes him less of a clone than doing a spin attack that Mario no longer uses (unless d-air)?
Remember, don't take video games too seriously- Plenty of GameFAQs users will do that for you.

Well it's a move he directly stole from him, so at least the Poltergust would in fact be unique.

Luigi is always a pseudo Mario clone in every game he is in. Why change it now?
