Advance Wars: days of Ruin came in America and Europe in 2008. Japan just now got hold of the game in 2013.

I think Christmas day/after Christmas may just be a big selling time there for some reason.
That, and Zelda is more popular with the western community.

On 12/02/12 I said I wouldn't change this until something impossible happened. Now, Earthbound just got re-released in the US.

North America got the Four Swords/GBA Link to the Past, Wii version of Twilight Princess (which came out before the GC version in any region), Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, and Wind Waker HD (digital only) before Japan.

It's not all that uncommon for the Zelda series.

I remember Skyward Sword was released in America before Japan.

Legend of Zelda series isn't as popular in Japan as it is in Western areas.
