If they had moves from Mii using games like Sports, Find Mii, ect, I could tolerate it.
Generic fighting movesets? Why not just play as a real character?

It's like getting Marvel VS Capcom and wanting to use a lame created head on a generic body and fighting. Why not use one of the real characters?

Their announcement was awesome, fine, and dandy up until Sakurai said "I can't always put character requests in Smash, but now you can!"

F***** hell, that's exactly WHY I didn't want Miis. It becomes an excuse to not put in some characters.
You do realize he showed some of the examples right? He meant like famous celebraties and tv show, cartoon characters...

This^^. I honestly think the whole Mii thing was just to appeal to the geniuses over on Miiverse Requesting Goku/Power Puff Girls/ Spomgebob who were never gonna get there way otherwise

Didn't read rest of topic besides OP.

I don't like them, no. But sooner or later that's going to devolve into I don't really care, as they are just going to be other objects I am KO'ing off the screen.

Considering the amount of games Miis are in, aren't they technically Nintendo characters?

They have been in 12 games, that's more than a bunch of characters in Smash Bros, I say it is well deserved.

I don't see it this way. Mii's really are the face of the newer Nintendo, being the manifestation of you yourself as the player in many games and the online services already. I don't think it's a bad thing at all, especially seeing how well the Mii Fighters fit in, I was definitely iffy on it before but the fighting styles sold me.

While I don't personally like Miis, I think they are a fine representation of Nintendo's recent history. However, rather than giving them generic fighting styles, I think it would have been better to have them fight with sports stuff/Wiimotes/balance boards/whatever to really represent the casual/Wii stuff.

Quite the opposite, their reveal made me even more hyped for the game. All of those moves and attacks looked incredible! I can't wait to make myself into a Brawler Mii.
