The previously mentioned HR-D3 is also notable for originating in the trailer for the cancelled Kirby Gamecube game.

In Pikmin 2 there is a boss named Raging Long Legs. This boss has more health than any enemy in Pikmin 2, and to double that it also has the highest regeneration rate. Whenever it shakes Pikmin off it goes crazy and speeds up, making a large army a bad idea. This makes it sound like a rather hard fight. However, there is a trick to beating it quickly. Take a small-size army, around 20 purple/red Pikmin and attack. When it shakes off, call them back fast and immediately throw them on again while it is rampaging. It will shake again. Rinse and repeat and you should have beaten it quickly and easily. The trick is to call the Pikmin back at the right time, not waiting too long.

The Burrowing Snagret is the only boss to appear in every Pikmin game. Pikmin 3 had variants of Beady Long Legs, but not the actual boss.

An enemy called "Shaggy Long Legs" appears in Pikmin 3. It looks somewhat like Raging Long Legs but skinny. This enemy is particularly hard because unlike any other "Arachnorb" creature you must attack its legs before the body. These legs can be rather hard to hit even with the target system. Also, he seems to randomly "lose interest" in the fight and wander off to another location in which you must pursue him. Because of this Shaggy Long Legs can be considered more challenging than the Man-at-Legs or Raging Long Legs from Pikmin 2. Looks can be deceiving.

Flashing Yoshi eggs aren't usable in Yoshi's Island DS, but they make a cameo in one of the secret levels, I believe it was called "Yoshi's Island Easter Eggs"?
