Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney for SSB4

Your set seems to lack a recovery an' you forgot 'bout his Final Smash. Also, I'd rather his neutral B be Objection. Who wouldn't want to hear Kirby yell out Objection? Oh, and one of his taunts has to be presenting his badge.

Phoenix's chances are surprisingly possible this time 'round. I can't remember who, but someone at Capcom wanted to get Phoenix into one of the vs titles but ran into problems that'd probably be a non-issue for Smash bros (The big problem from what I understand was balancing the Japanese and English version when it came to his Objection bubble. The bubble would be bigger over here then it'd be in Japan. The Objection bubble probably wouldn't be used outside of maybe his Final smash in Smash bros, so... )

Nothing of importance here. Move along folks.

What martial arts moves? Anyone can punch forwards or try and kick something while they're in the air.

And I didn't put a smash because I didn't want to put the one I had in mind. It was basically a huge speech bubble with "OBJECTION" that moves forwards. Almost like Mario's FS. It sweeps across the screen, basically pushing everything off the screen that's caught in it.

True, but a lot of the moves you picked like flying kicks and judo throws just don't seem like things a lawyer with no combat experience would be capable of. Then again, maybe it's just me.

And would you mean something like this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GBL8XC_8jk

SSB is that exception to including him. Look at ROB and Peach.

Peach? She freaking fights. Mario Bros. 2, Paper Marios, Mario RPG, Super Princess Peach, and those Mario Partys aren't exactly walks in the park. : O

Hmm I wouldn't call them judo throws. All I said was a throw. This could include PW pulling them to the ground or shoving them forward causing them to fall.

And no, that FS seems too godly. Basically this:

But of course, replace the fire with a huge speech bubble flying towards you, pushing you away.

An idea I had for his FS: Order in the Court: The crowd starts to get in an uproar, so to quiet them the Judge slams his gavel across the stage. I imagine it working sort of like PK Starstorm. The gavel would be bigger, move a lot more quickly, and be less predictable, though there would only be one on screen at a time so if you're good at reading it you can still dodge fairly well.

Oh also there's no way Phoenix is getting in unless they allow a pretty large number of third party characters, though I'm still supporting him being in SSB4, just like I was supporting him being in Brawl.

As an Ace Attorney fan, I'd like for PW to be in this game, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. As someone else mentioned, Capcom would most likely go with Megaman and Ryu first. The only way PW would get in would be if they allowed several third-party characters.

I liked your moveset ideas though; they were pretty creative. The only thing I don't understand is why you didn't want his neutral special attack to be his OBJECTION poke attack. It just seems so obvious, lol (no offfense). The desk-banging could also be his down+special attack where you get to charge it up to create a shockwave.

Since he would need a third jump, his up+special attack could be an uppercut similar to Mario but he'll yell "TAKE THAT!".

You just said that? Capcom vs. games use a character's actual skill and ability in a fighting game. PW has 0 fighting ability. SSB is that exception to including him. Look at ROB and Peach. Neither of them fight but they created a move-set for them.

This is why PW is perfect for SSB. They could just make his move-set from scratch. It's not like he has nothing to use, just look at my move-set. Everything is from the game, with the exception of jabs and kicks.

Peach can fight. She was a playable character in Super Mario RPG, where some of her moves came from. Also, Jin was MvC and he wasn't shown fighting outside of his mecha so it can work for Phoenix Wright too, only his moveset would be much more relevent.

Like I said, I think he'd fare better in a more traditional fighting game than a Smash Bros. game.
