Anything can happen.

Which is why it's gonna be hilarious when it doesn't.

I don't think it would have had a chance at getting in if it weren't a part of PT's pokemon.

I didn't expect it, but I didn't find it surprising. Probably because I learned not to have any expectations after Mr. G&W. SSB is easily a very unique fighting series with a colorful roster. Expecting to predict all of them would be doubtful.

Yes you did. Why are you lying?

It's rude.

If you read the rest of my thing, you'll notice I said that I just learned not to be surprised by things. R.O.B. is the only inclusion I found surprising, but I'd never even heard of him.

Squirtle and Ivysaur I did find surprising, especially Ivysaur. If you had told me we'd be getting a "pokemon trainer who can bring out 3 different pokemon" I would has assumed it to be the 3 starters final forms (Charizard, Blastoise, Venasaur).

If it were him on his own, I would have been very surprised. But as a part of the Pokemon Trainer group, he makes perfect sense.

PT is actually the character you play as in the Pokemon games, he really is the most deserving. And the three original starters, each at a different evolution stage, was a creative way of giving him a moveset. It also got in one of the most significant Pokemon of the first generation, Charizard.

Why would you want to have police being facetious? That wouldn't help at all.

Also, my stance is actually the same as _Sanaki_'s.
