That, of course, means Pac-Man in SSB4 as a third party character.

Which means no DOA characters since Nacmo and Tecmo are like cats and dogs. I really wanted Ryu or Kasumi to have a chance, after DOAD on 3DS.

Maybe Ryu (SF) among Snake and Sonic.
But Pacman is a nice epic choice.

Since they have a direct role in creating the game, there may be more than one Namco representative.

Ryu maybe, but I'm not sure if Nintendo would sign off on, or even be able to pull off, the focused level of fanservice necessary for Kasumi, or any DoA lady.

Nintendo's E3 2012 presentation was just weird and awkward. 95% of the games at launch look promising though.

This is fantastic news. Anyone who's played a Tales game knows how similar the gameplay is to fighting games and Smash Bros. They wouldn't be heading this project if they weren't hellbent on making it succeed.
