What if the Wii U version used 3D gameplay, and the 3DS uses the 2D gameplay?

I don't know if I'd like it or nor, but it would certainly be a way of making the versions different but wanting to buy both. Perhaps have the Wii U version have 3D gameplay (more like Soul Calibur? but more free-roam?) and have the 3DS use the original 2D front camera for gamplay?

Would you love it or hate it?

It would be interesting but I don't know.

I think Power Stone would be a better example of a 3D smash bros. Not sure what I'd think of that, I'd prefer it to stay 2D.

This just wouldn't work with SSB gameplay unless I haven't thought of a certain way. Either 3D like Soul Calibur/Tekken but that wouldn't work with 4 players especially considering who faces whom, etc, but if it were just free roam then attacks would be harder to hit and you'd pretty much need to do split screen.
