WHY would Sakurai choose Waluigi over Toad?

Yeah, I support Waluigi, but in all fairness that argument is horribly flawed and easily solved, just replace Toad with Toadsworth. In fact, it makes more sense that way. You could argue that due to his annoying fans, Sakurai has determined Waluigi place in SSB: an Assist Trophy. Of course, we don't have sufficient evidence to support this, or similar things in SSB, so we should ignore SSB for the time being. You said it best yourself. We have no sufficient evidence why TOAD would be picked over WALUIGI. I said we have no evidence in the context of content in Smash, as we don't know the circumstances that the minor decisions were made. Waluigi could have been included on a whim. If you can't use anything, then don't use anything. In an argument of reason, faith or subjective desires have no place. Why make tripping forced and unremovable? And in the answer to any of those questions I asked, why wouldn't the same situation apply to Toad and Waluigi? --- Currently playing - A game for hardcore fans only

It's not hard to see why, even the fans have had trouble figuring out how it would work.
