Super Smash Bros. Wii U

Instead of having lives/stock, you pick a team of characters to take into battle. Or you could have a combination of stock/Team where each character on your team has a certain number of lives.

It would be simple to implement 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 battles.

Characters would be assigned to a direction on the d-pad and in order to switch characters, you would need to complete a taunt without being interrupted. Damage %'s would be saved for the character you switched out.

Then you taunt with the direction your current character is assigned to. Regular taunt. No switching.

I've already thought about this. The way I see it there are 2 options:


1) Have your character switch out after losing a life/a minute/etc/

2) Have teleporter(s) on the map and choose up or down while in it to change your character.

I prefer it to be switch characters when one is defeated. There are many games that do this already.

The result is you have to pick a team sort of like how you pick a relay for a race. It would have to be stock though. But that would work out better because then you could see who is up next on the little life icons on the bottom of the screen.

The percentage is recorded for each of your characters. You can either prematurely switch or when you die. Like Pokémon.
