It amazes me that...

Pikachu is also only a foot high, yet hes pretty huge compared to the humanoid characters in smash bros eh? Like the others said size is not an issue at all

It amazes me that people still think size is a legitimate argument against Ridley being possible.

TC is absolutely right.

They should put NES Metroid pixelated Ridley as playable and nothing more.

See Mario's size relative to Bowser's size in SMB1 and virtually every other Mario game. Nitpicking doesn't help your case.

See Ridley's size relative to Samus's size in the original Metroid game.

Also, the Honey Queen proves that sizes aren't accurate in Mario spinoff games, so don't bother bringing them up.

The characters in the Smash Bros. series are small when compared to real-life objects to begin with. Remember SSB's intro?

Then why wasn't Olimar even smaller? He was a trophy, too.

And if a trophy's size doesn't have to be accurate to the size of other trophies, then why can't Ridley be resized?

All of these nitpicking arguments don't matter if Sakurai thinks Ridley would be "too slow" and overall "pretty much impossible." The fact that he wasn't even a part of Brawl's forbidden 7 demonstrates that Sakurai is satisfied with Ridley being a boss, imo.

I don't care one way or the other, but the size problem is mostly with gameplay, not with "canon".

Notice the increase for the first part, and that's above one of the largest iterations of Ridley.

Surely there's no problem with them putting me in Brawl, right?
It's ****ing satire, damnit.

Bowser, Mewtew Olimar or any other characters that broke the "size rule" were the same size throughout the games. As you can see Ridley is rather large

Then what's the goddamn problem with shrinking Ridley so he works as a playable character?

This matters because Sakurai cannot possibly change a character's size in later games.

I know because they can never shrink him right? He's cursed to stay his "gigantic" size forever in a non-canon game right?
