Remember that All-Star Battle teaser on Namco's JP website?

That teaser that said ALL-STAR BATTLE 1 DAY or 0 DAY a long while back on Namco's Japanese site? Has anyone ever thought of the possible fact that Namco was most likely teasing Smash fans with references to popular potential newcomers to Smash 4?

The Statue of Liberty was likely a reference to Little Mac.
The Nautilus was likely a reference to King K. Rool's ship.
The aquarium was likely a reference to Starfy.
The horse carriage was likely a reference to Professor Layton.

It was revealed to be a fighting game who's name I forgot. Do you think Namco was teasing people by thinking that this was a Smash announcement? I think they knew what they were doing but they just played us all.

No, I'm pretty sure it was a direct reference to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure ALL-STAR BATTLE.
You know, the game that site was a teaser for. All of the things you mentioned being references to different things in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
