The only thing significant out of this is we'll probably get a new Yoshi stage. That's about it.

Sort of. I think Nintendo was using this Nintendo Direct as a big marketing ploy for the Wii U. They really didn't reveal much info on the new proposed games, but what they did do was hype them up like hell.

I think they will use E3 to show much more footage, and screenshots, and I think we might get some names.

Possibly a new Yoshi rep, and Xenoblade rep if it is indeed a sequel.

Im not quite sure we will get almost everything shown here represented in smash bros, remember how we didnt get any galaxy or metroid prime 3 stuff and those came out the year before the game was released. Im not saying it cant happen but they could miss out on the game like those did, it all depends on what they are giving sakurai and his team as far as assets for the series go, and they obviously want us to be familiar with everything represented in smash bros so it makes sense to have characters and other stuff we know already and not a whole lot from titles that havent been released atm (inb4some1saysroy)

It's not officially "Xenoblade 2," but it does have a VERY similar battle system, has a faceshot of a character that bears a good resemblance to Shulk, and the trailer ends with a "X." So whether or not it's a true Xenoblade sequel is debatable, but it is most definitely a Xeno-something. ;-)
