SpunkySix posted...This is amusing... the entirety of multiple series are being beaten out by Pacman solo, and every Tales character vote combined is only beating him by 20 votes.
Keep in mind that this is a setting where people are MORE likely to even know what Tales is... it's fairly apparent why a Tales character has basically no marketability at this point.
It's less about Tales having little to no marketability, to "What has Tales of done for the Nintendo franchise?" There's been MANY Tales games for Nintendo systems: Abyss on the 3DS (a remake); Hearts, Innocence, Tempest for the DS (none released outside Nippon...though the Vita got a Nippon-only Innocence remake); Symphonia on the GC w/International release (with a PS2-make for Nippon only) Graces & Symphonia: DotNW on the Wii (Graces getting a PS3make-international release, Symphonia: Dawn of the New World getting an unpopular international release); Phantasia on the SF/SNES (3 remakes for various systems, the GBA the only version to get an International Release); Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon on the GBC; & World: Narikiri Dungeon 2 & 3, World: Summoner's Lineage on the GBA for Nippon only...and that's it.
Of those, the rest of the Nintendo World gives a rip about Phantasia, Abyss, Symphonia (but apparently not really Dawn of the New World if popularity is to go by).
That's...not a list to make the series look like it made a huge international Nintempact. And from what I understand, Super Smash Bros is more popular outside Nippon that in it.
