I could have sworn i read he and the pokemon director mentioned that they want to see each others projects via twitter and sakurai said a bit more than they did on the nintendo direct video.

Sakurai's original message used a Japanese word that can mean both "images" and "footage." Iwata chose to say "screens" in the English Nintendo Direct for whatever reason.
