Total of 45 characters: 10 newcomers with zero cuts. Newcomers: 1) Chrom 2) Bowser Jr. 3) Ghirahim 4) Little Mac 5) Shulk 6) Genesect 7) King K. Rool 8) Takamaru 9) Mega Man 10) Pac-man *** Dixie Kong was also added, but as a Diddy Kong transformation. Similar to the way they switch out in the Donkey Kong Country series. Making his down B as throwing one of the already spawning items seems kind of silly to me. Maybe just getting rid of the banana peel as an item would be better. I think a second rep for Kid Icarus is definitely likely, but I don't agree that it's deserving. They have only had 2 games, despite how good they are. As far as Ghirahim goes, I think his shot is 50/50. I don't remember any Zelda villain, other than Ganondorf, getting as much popularity as he has gotten since his reveal. Plus, he was a consistently appearing and battling villain in Skyward Sword, unlike any of the other non-Ganondorf villains. But, he definitely has some arguments against him. He was one of the most requested characters (if not THE most requested character) for both Melee and Brawl. In Melee, he was a trophy and was featured in the opening. In Brawl, he was made a boss and Zero Suit Samus was made a Metroid newcomer instead of him. I think they know that Ridley is just better off as a boss character, and I mostly agree. ... Kid Icarus actually has had 3 games. One Gameboy game in the early 90's. Mother has 3 games and has both Ness and Lucas so I think it would work fine if we got Palutena. And yes true about Ghirahim but he still isn't as major as the big 3 (as well as the younger version of one of those). But I would love him anyway. But yeah I would definitly add Palutena. While Zant was consistent and Midna was popular, I still think Ghirahim is higher in both cases.
