I love Link, but the Hylian Shield isn't doing anything to stop Sonic's spin dash. Especially at how powerful he is as of Generations. Yeah but how much force does it take to destroy a robot made of steel? A steel plate can only withstand 20 - 40 tons of pressure, Link can withstand a lot more than that. And why wouldn't Link have the mirror shield since its superior to the hylian shield in every way and can absorb and reflect magical and elemental attacks... He doesn't have enough mass and weight just to stand there and take it like a brick wall. Even in the games he still gets knocked back when wearing the gauntlets.
This is an approximation of what would happen, and that rocket is moving at sub-sonic speeds.
