Actually, Sonic's hypersonic at base form, which typically refers to speeds at or above Mach 5, which is at least 3x faster than the speed of sound at minimum, since hypersonic only has a minimum limit and not a maximum.
Insane speeds aside, Sonic, at his base form, still moves faster than anyone in the cast can literally think.
Sonic's speed > 1700 m/s
Neurotransmitters in brain < 100 m/s
This effectively negates any teleportation or potentially barriers that require thought to produce, as Sonic moves faster than the chemicals in one's brain can.

Link doesn't need to think at all. He just needs to stand there and take it.
Also, the faster he is moving, the more force he is exerting. The more force he is exerting, the more he is hurting himself than he is hurting Link. So let's say that Link gets all of his powers or gear that negate damage, that don't require thought in some way. He's now resisting damage at 1/16 of the original. Sonic, on the other hand, apparently gets no powers or gear, and is delivering upwards of 36 tons of force. How exactly does Link just stand there and "take" over 2 tons worth of force, let alone not be thrown back by it if he survived it. If he's wearing the Iron Boots, how does his body not get ripped from the boots themselves? |

Super Sonic, in terms of power and speed destroys Samus & Mewtwo. I can't really judge Pit since I haven't played his game(s).

Eh, no. That "temporal" thing is just a gameplay mechanic in both the Sonic & Smash games.
I think the most powerful are...
1.- Super Sonic (let's start with how he flies at light speed...and his power, the power of the chaos emeralds, is unlimited :l)
2.- Metroid...I mean, Samus (hypermode + the rest of her equipment...)
2.- Kirby (he can swallow everything, any size, any time. However, he wouldn't be able to even react to super sonic's speed)
3.- Mewtwo (I think people think he's immortal or something? All he can do is mind crush everyone...I guesss he could mind crush Kirby...)
4.- Pit
5.- Lucas (I'm not sure if Ness has a franklin badge...I mean even Ninten does...but even then, PK Love)
6.- Ness
7, 8, 9, 10.... *The rest*
Oh, and Ganon/dorf was killed by a damn wooden sword in the first Zelda. You're welcome. Seriously. Link wields the Triforce of Courage, and nothing more. Him wielding the full Triforce for a short period of time in SS doesn't mean he magically gets it in this debate.
Sonic constantly uses the Chaos Emeralds and they're essentially a part of his fighting style. Chaos Control, one of Sonic's major techniques, requires use of the Chaos Emeralds. As does his Super Sonic transformation. He USES the Chaos Emeralds, but he doesn't own them. Just because Goku uses the Dragon Balls a ton doesn't mean they teleport into his hands the second he want's to use him, he still needs to find them first (Regardless of how easy it is). --- Saki, Isaac, Lip, Lyn, and Little Mac for SSB4! Samus is still more durable. Sonic can drill into Samus's suit all he wants, all she has to do is shoot ONCE and it's over. At base forms, Samus and Kirby are completely debatable with Sonic. Whether or not the Suit or herself can withstand +30 tons of force is beyond me. Kirby likely could, but I really question his damage output beyond that. Powered up, Super Sonic and Hyper Samus trump pretty much everyone else. |
