77 lbs (Sonic's weight) = 2.3 slugs
760 mph (Speed of sound) = 1115 feet per second
Force = (2.3 * 1115)/0.1
25645 pounds = 12 tons of force
Link should be able to survive anyway...
Actually, Sonic's hypersonic at base form, which typically refers to speeds at or above Mach 5, which is at least 3x faster than the speed of sound at minimum, since hypersonic only has a minimum limit and not a maximum.
Insane speeds aside, Sonic, at his base form, still moves faster than anyone in the cast can literally think.
Sonic's speed > 1700 m/s
Neurotransmitters in brain < 100 m/s
This effectively negates any teleportation or potentially barriers that require thought to produce, as Sonic moves faster than the chemicals in one's brain can.
Even adjusted for mach 5, its still only 64 tons of force well within the range that Link should be able to withstand
Let's not bring Super Sonic into this he's just too crazy fast and crazy crazy, he'd likely defeat the entire cast at once; if Super Sonic's included might as well just cut Sonic from the topic and debate the #2, 3, 4 strongest characters.
speaking of the strongest who are the weakest? I think Ice Climbers
I do actually agree with Super Sonic and Hyper Samus being disqualified. Both are invulnerable, can warp reality, and have no properly stated limit on their powers - they are essentially gods. Only within the Powered up list though.
With that said, Base Sonic is still being compared to Geared up Link from multiple games - neglecting Speed up shoes (doubling speed), any shields, light speed attacks, etc. That part aside though, now that Link can survive a few hits from sonic (Who can accelerate and decelerate in less than a second), Link has to hit him. How exactly does Link do this, when it hardly takes Sonic a second to hit him consecutively?
