Some food for thought from some FE13 polls I did.

There is no FE13 yet. Stop it.

Are you saying you don't count the remakes as 11 or 12? Or you simply have no knowledge of the title?

Remakes don't get their own numbers.

If you go on that site, you'll see that every remake got their own numbers.

More on topic. What I find interesting with the fact that there will be both a 3DS and a Wii U version of the next smash, it opens up a lot of possibility for novel ideas and concept.

Maybe the Wii U version will have Marth, Ike and another character from the franchise, while the 3DS version will have characters from Awakening. Another possibility(and I admit that it's a stretch) is that the 3DS version could 'read' what your avatar looked like and reproduce it in-game and maybe even allow you to export it to the Wii U version. The avatar could also appear in both version, but they could hide his face with its cloak like they did in the opening movie. A fire emblem character that wields both sword and magic could make for interesting gameplay.

Which is incorrect.

1) Why is it incorrect? Can you show me a site where they say that Awakening isn't FE 13?
2) What does it change in your life that FE has 13 games or not?

Remakes are not supposed to get their own numbers.

But they did.
Officially, they are numbered.

Thanks for ignoring the second half of my question and the second question entirely.

Just because you decide that remakes aren't supposed to get a number doesn't make it reality. If you look at most sources out there, remakes have their own numbers.

Officially they are not numbered.

The number system is a dumb fan thing that only serves to confuse new players and be horribly inconsistent with logic.

No other video game series gives new numbers to remakes.
